Welcome to geoSDI website.

geoSDI is the complete solution for Spatial Data Infrastructure used by the Italian National Civil Protection Department.

The geoSDI solution is based on Open Source Technologies and was born to allow the real time geospatial data sharing between the Functional Centers of the Italian Civil Protection Department, being OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) standard compliant, INSPIRE Directive compliant and CNIPA Repertorio Nazionali dei Dati Territoriali specifications compliant.

 

  • The map above shows the location of the Functional Centers and of the Technical Competence Centers and it is delivered as a WMS service from a server of the federation.

The Italian National Alerting System is provided by the Italian National Civil Dept. and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano through the network of the Functional Centers and the Technological Competence Centers, who work together in an operative mode in this network.

Through the geoSDI system the Italian National Civil Dept. implements its National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
